About the Campaign
Mentmore Action Group, working closely with Cheddington Action Group, is challenging Buckinghamshire Council's proposal for a major new settlement at Cheddington and its potential impact on surrounding communities.
We are residents of Mentmore and the surrounding communities who have come together because of serious concerns about Buckinghamshire Council's proposal for a major new settlement at Cheddington. Mentmore Action Group and Cheddington Action Group are working closely together to examine the proposal and help ensure local communities have a strong and informed voice.
Our campaign examines the evidence behind the proposal, including the site selection process, transport and rail capacity, road infrastructure, heritage and landscape impact, and the long-term implications for Mentmore and neighbouring villages.
We engage with the planning process through formal representations, Freedom of Information requests, independent research, and public engagement. We operate on a voluntary basis and are entirely community-funded.
